Kenya Thageini Karibu

Kenya Thageini Karibu

Thageini Mill, one of four wet mills within the Aguthi Farmers Co-operative Society, works with a network of 350 male and 100 female smallholder producers in Nyeri County. Under the coordination of Robert Nduiro, the focus remains on careful cherry selection and quality driven processing, resulting in coffees with clarity, structure, and vibrant character.

For this supernatural lot, early harvest cherries are sorted by color to ensure optimal ripeness, then placed in covered raised beds for an initial three days phase that intensifies fruit expression. The cherries are subsequently spread and dried on raised beds for around 25 days, with consistent turning to preserve sweetness, clarity, and balance. Once fully dried, the coffee is milled at Sagana for grading and export preparation, completing a controlled process that enhances the expressive, fruit driven nature of SL28 and SL24 while maintaining a clean, structured cup.
